President Buhari has ordered the Military and the Police to deal with ballot box snatchers because they committed the offense “at risk to their own lives”. The president also stated that “Anybody who decides to snatch ballot boxes or lead thugs to disturb, it maybe that this will be the last unlawful action you will take”.
Meanwhile the INEC Chairman Mr Mahmood Yakubu while addressing the Media on Tuesday about their readiness for the February 23 upcoming election said that “The position of the Commission is that all violators of the Electoral Act should be punished according to the provisions of the Electoral Act”.
