2,500 Passengers transported free on Lagos-Abeokuta route by NRC






The Lagos Regional District Manager of the Nigeria Railway Corporations , Mr Jerry Oche said since the commencement of free movement of passengers on Lagos-Abeokuta route on February 11, with the new Standard Gauge line. NRC has transported no fewer than 2,500 passengers free of charge for now.

And he also stated that they will still increase the coaches to accommodate and allow more people to enjoy the services.

Mr Oche also said that passengers are increasing as the public are becoming more aware of the service and operation. And that the train departs Abeokuta by 7.00 am and arrives Iju by 9.00 am, while leaving Lagos by 4.00 pm to arrive Abeokuta by 6.00 pm daily.
