“We will also ensure a car package for senior staff that have attained directors’ status in the public service. We cannot allow workers that are required to stay back and work to start looking for bus to convey them home at night.
“On the staff bus, I discovered that civil servants now pay to repair the vehicle. When elected, our administration will replace the rickety vehicles for the staff. All these, we believe would motivate the staff to deliver in every task they have been mandated to do,” he added.

Sanwo-Olu further said his administration, if elected, would restore local and international training benefit to the State public service.

Sanwo-Olu disclosed that his administration, when elected, would establish a platform for retired civil servants to act as volunteer workers, saying, “we always have some civil servants that are still active but due to the public service barrier on age, they leave service.”

Atiku Says Presidential Election Is The Worst In Over 30 years

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar has described Saturday’s Presidential election won by President Muhammadu Buhari as the worst election the country has held in over 30 years.
At a news conference on Wednesday in Abuja, Atiku also said all hope was not lost, in spite of the declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of Saturday’s election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
“For my fellow Nigerians who feel angry, disillusion and let down by the process, I appeal to you to remain calm and steadfast, Rome was not built in a day.
“We have the real figures, we have the facts that have spoken so loudly on Saturday, February 23, 2019. As I have always said, this year is my three decades in Nigeria’s struggle for democracy, and this is the worst election in those 30 years.
“I told Gen. Abdsulsalami Abubakar two nights ago when he called me that not even the military conducted such a worst election. This is a long journey but I am confident of victory. All hope is not lost, stay strong. By the grace of God we shall triumph,” he said.
Abubakar said that “Democracy is the government of the people and by the people only when the people’s choice prevails”.
He alleged that on the election day, Nigerians witnessed the implementation of grand theft of the people’s will.
He said that in Akwa Ibom for instance, the result showed a statistical impossibility of a 62 per cent drop in voters’ numbers from the 2015 elections, even where voter registration and Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) collection rates were much higher.
“This is why voter suppression took place.
“This pattern was repeated in strongholds of PDP including in states like Delta, Rivers, Abia and Benue States.
“As this was occurring, we saw another statistical impossibility where the real numbers tallied in numbers increased astronomically in Borno State by an almost miraculous 82 per cent in the midst of insecurity.
“This pattern was also repeated in other strongholds of the APC states.
“One begins to ask if insecurity is conducive to higher voter turnout and security is antithetical to high voter turnout,” he said.
Atiku said that it was curious that the PDP’s margin of victory in states outside the South/East and South/South were extremely slim across board, describing it again as a statistical impossibility.
He said that the figures declared by INEC as results of Feb. 23 elections “do not add up at all’’.
“My dear Nigerians, it is for this reason that I Atiku Abubakar reject the result declared by the INEC which declared Muhammadu Buhari as duly returned by the majority of the lawful votes.
He also started that ”I am conferring with not just my party but also Nigerian people on the next step which will be revealed to the public shortly,”

South East Governors Didn’t Influence Buhari’s 25 Percent In The States - Ebonyi State Governor

The Ebonyi State Governor  David Umahi has debunked the insinuation that South East Governors influence results to help President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) achieve 25 per cent of votes in states in the zone.
Gov. Umahi made the declaration on Monday in the state capital Abakaliki, while addressing journalists, noting that the insinuation was unfounded and blamed such on fake news purveyors in the social media.
Although he did not win in any of the three states in the South East zone whose results have been declared so far,  but President Buhari has secured more votes in the zone than he did in 2015 election.
The president scored 54, 423 in Enugu, 90,726 in Ebonyi and 85, 058 in Abia.
“Why do we need to negotiate for the sex of a child when the child has been given birth to?” Mr Umahi asked.
“The fact is that the president remains the boss of all governors and any reasonable governor must respect the president, party differences apart.

“ You gain nothing by castigating him and such does not stop him from being the President.

“You should rather make him your friend and see how you can get something for your people.

“The Bible tells us that when the ways of a man is pleasing unto God, it keeps his enemies to be at peace with him, he said.

Gov. Umahi also noted that those who lived for themselves ends up heating the system as they collected their salaries at the end of the month, fed  freely among others.

“I am in a hurry to change the story, narratives of Ebonyi people so whatever vehicle of peace that I need to join to achieve this, I will join.

“Our people are good in social media but will never go to get their voters card and will be announcing results,” he said.

He enjoined journalists to vote in the elections to enshrine good governance despite their election monitoring schedules.

APC React to PDP Rejection Of Result By INEC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has lambast  the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for rejecting the yet-to-be concluded results of the presidential poll conducted on Sturday 23 Feb. 2019.

Through the APC director of strategic communications on presidential campaign,Festus Keyamo,  said that PDP’s rejection of the results is illogical.
Keyamo in a statement made available to it on Monday, February 25, refered  to PDP’s position on the conduct of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as illogical, and wondered why the opposition party is rejecting results that have not been released.
Keyamo said: “We have just read with great consternation the Press Statement of the National Chairman of PDP rejecting the results as being announced presently by INEC in Abuja.
“The simple questions we ask the PDP and Atiku’s Campaign team are as follows: (1) How come the PDP is rejecting results that have not been fully and completely announced?
“How can one reject the result of an uncompleted game? The process of an election does not end until the final collation and announcement of results.
“(2) Is the PDP rejecting the totality of the results nationwide? If yes, does it mean they also reject the results that would be announced later by INEC which may indicate that they have won in certain areas? Are they also rejecting the results already announced that indicate they won in some areas?
“For instance, are they rejecting the results of the FCT already announced in which they won?
“(3) If indeed they are only rejecting areas where they lost, are they implying that it is only in areas where they won that can be adjudged free and fair and all areas where they lost must be adjudged rigged? Is that the mentality of true democrats?
“In the PDP statement, it is curious that they rejected the results as being announced, yet they claim they are coasting to victory.
“What kind of logic is that? What kind of confusion is now reigning in the minds of the top hierarchy of the PDP that they can spew such illogicality?
“It is now obvious that the top hierarchy of the PDP is hysterical and nervous.
“We urge them to calm down. Obviously, this is the first time they are sensing a massive loss of an election as opposition party. It is a new experience for them.
“They are confused and disoriented. For many years, they were used to manipulating the instruments of State to just write results and announce themselves as winners. As such they have a sense of entitlement to these instruments of State that they could not fully manipulate this time because President Muhammadu Buhari insisted on a level plain field for all.
“We advise the PDP that as opposition party for many years, we have been down this road before. This is not the time to sacrifice the country for personal ambition. If they feel they have lost (as their statement clearly indicates), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar must pick up his phone to make that famous call to President Muhammadu Buhari.
“The world is watching him and so are Nigerians.
“Finally, we urge INEC, Nigerians and our international friends not to be swayed by these infantile antics of the PDP. The process of collation and announcement that is on-going should be done to its logical conclusion after which anyone who is aggrieved should take full advantage of the provisions of the law.The All Progressives Congress (APC) has lambast the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for rejecting the yet-to-be concluded results of the presidential poll conducted on Sturday February 23,2019.
The APC, through, its director of strategic communications on presidential campaign,Festus Keyamo,  said that PDP’s rejection of the results is illogical.
Keyamo wondered why the opposition party is rejecting results that have not been released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

BREAKING: Court of Appeal Okays Zamfara APC To Contest For 2019 Election

Court of Appeal, Abuja division, has laid aside the decision of the Federal High Court, Abuja which barred the All Progressive Congress in Zamfara from fielding candidate in upcoming elections in the state.
A 3 man panel of the appellate court, led by Justice Abdul Aboki, held that the trial court lacked the jurisdiction to have entertained the suit, that it was an abuse of court process.
He stressed that the suit at the federal high court was filed out of time, that the electoral act provides for 14 days to institute a suit after the cause of action had arisen, the suit was filed 15 days after, and therefore rendered the action incompetent.

Justice Ojukwu in a Judgment delivered on January 25, affirmed the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to exclude APC’s candidates in Zamfara State from the general election on the grounds that the party in Zamfara State failed to conduct primary election for the selection of its candidates for various elective positions in the general election.

In the suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/12791/2018, Justice Ojukwu, held that INEC acted within its powers by refusing to accept the list of APC candidates for the 2019 general elections.
But the appellate court however in its Judgment Thursday set aside the Judgment Justice Ojukwu, describing it as an abuse of court process.
